Terms of Service
1. Who we are
AmazaSpend is a spending intelligence tool for Amazon shoppers. We help you understand your Amazon order history — where your money goes, how it breaks down, and what patterns emerge over time. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Amazon in any way.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use AmazaSpend. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password or API key with anyone. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at [email protected].
You may only create one account per person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate duplicate accounts.
4. What AmazaSpend does — and doesn't do
What we do:
- Parse your Amazon order data (from uploaded CSVs, PDFs, receipt images, or our browser extension) and present it as organized analytics
- Use AI (Google Gemini) to categorize purchases, generate spending insights, and classify items as Impulse or Essential
- Store your order history so you can access it over time
What we don't do:
- Connect to your Amazon account or ask for your Amazon login credentials — ever
- Modify, submit, or interact with Amazon pages on your behalf
- Sell your data to third parties
- Provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice
AI-generated content: The insights, categorizations, and Discipline Score generated by AmazaSpend are informational tools, not financial advice. They are produced by AI and may not always be accurate. Use them as one input among many — not as the basis for financial decisions.
5. The browser extension
The AmazaSpend browser extension is a read-only tool. It reads Amazon order pages you navigate to while you're already logged in to Amazon, and sends that order data to your AmazaSpend account. It does not:
- Store or transmit your Amazon username, password, or payment information
- Modify any Amazon page
- Submit any forms or take any actions on Amazon on your behalf
- Access pages outside of Amazon order and return detail pages
The extension captures order data only from pages you actively visit. It does not run in the background when your browser is closed.
6. Your data
You own your data. The order history, purchase data, and account information you upload to or capture through AmazaSpend remains yours.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.
You can export your data at any time via the CSV export feature. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AmazaSpend for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Service
- Upload data that doesn't belong to you
- Attempt to circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.
8. Paid plans and billing
AmazaSpend offers a free tier and one or more paid tiers (currently "Pro"). By subscribing to a paid plan:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected)
- You can cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- If you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase or annual renewal, you are entitled to a full refund — no questions asked. Contact us at [email protected] to request one.
- After 14 days, we do not offer prorated refunds for mid-period cancellations, except where required by law
- If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may downgrade your account to the free tier after a grace period
Beta pricing: Features or pricing marked as "beta" or "free during beta" may change when the beta period ends. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before charging for anything previously free.
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
9. Intellectual property
AmazaSpend — including the application, its design, code, brand, and content — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as described here.
"AmazaSpend," the AmazaSpend logo, and "Spend Intelligence" are our trademarks. Don't use them without permission.
10. Third-party services
AmazaSpend uses third-party services to operate, including:
- Google Gemini — for AI-powered parsing and insight generation. Your order data may be sent to Google's API for processing. Google's data handling is governed by their own terms and policies.
- Payment processors — for billing on paid plans
- Hosting providers — for storing and serving the application
We are not responsible for the actions of these third parties.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties — express or implied — about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of the Service for any particular purpose.
We are not responsible for:
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated categorizations or insights
- Data loss due to technical failure (though we take reasonable precautions)
- Changes to Amazon's website that affect how the browser extension captures data
- Any financial decisions you make based on information from AmazaSpend
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AmazaSpend's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 CAD.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Termination
You can stop using AmazaSpend at any time. You can delete your account by contacting [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we believe your use poses a risk to us or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund any unused prepaid subscription fees on a prorated basis.
If AmazaSpend shuts down entirely, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and provide a way to export your data before we close.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Quebec.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
